GROW TO SHOW PROJECT

We have about 25 people in the Grow To Show project. We started out about two months ago. We started by picking some plants with show potential took off all the bad leaves, cleaned the plants real good and re potted in fresh soil using a pot to fit the size of the plant via the one third rule. Several of our plants have had to be potted up to the next size pot all ready.

Some of us are growing to show in their club show while others are growing to show for the on-line show scheduled, April 1, 2004.

The most difficult part of the project is disbudding. We must pick off all buds until eight weeks before our show date.

We meet in the Violet Reflections chat room every Thursday at 5:00P.M. Pacific time. We ask questions and share what is going on with our plants. It is not to late to start the project so if you are interested there is a lot of grow to show information in the file section on VR. And you can join us in the chat room.

Cheryl has the closest show date. Her club show is Oct. 30, 2003. She has sent me pictures of the plants she is working with and I am sure she will walk away with some blue ribbons.

Now its just watch the plants, disbud, pot up if needed keep the plants very clean and, use leaf rings to protect the leaves. If we do not have leaf rings, they can be made from paper plants.
