Rachel's memory of a scene in Christmas Past. 
Christmas' past have long gone but will always be remembered with love and  happy thoughts.  The Coleman lantern and the box stove were both warming the 2 bedroom log  house and the real tree in the corner was decorated with baubles and chains made of strips of coloured paper glued with a paste made of flour and water.  The smell of  Christmas baking lingered through-out the  house and outside there were huge fluffy sparkling flakes of  snow falling gently to the ground. That picture will always live on in my mind, and though I have tried so hard to re-paint it for my children,  I could never show them the sparkle in the snow.  It just doesn't seem to be there anymore.
