VioletReflections Bingo

Definitions

Bingo Coordinator - The person who monitors the bingo games, holds all of the bingo cards during the games, breaks game ties, assigns Sponsors and Callers, posts each months Sponsor List, and answer questions and concerns about the bingo games. Currently the Bingo Coordinator is Tina.

Sponsor - A person who has at least 35 named African violets and is willing to ship leaves for the cost of postage to the winner of the game. If you are interested in sponsoring a game contact the Bingo Coordinator

Sponsor List - A list of 35 named African violet varieties.

Player - Any member of the VioletReflections list that wants to play VR Bingo. New players will not be allowed after each game is begun. The player will have to wait till the next game.

VR Bingo Card - A list of 15 African violets you choose from the Sponsor List, which makes up your own personal VR Bingo Card. This card is sent to the Bingo Coordinator. The Bingo Coordinator will send you an e-mail verifying that your VR Bingo Card was received.

Caller - The person who chooses and calls (posts to the list) the daily African violet from the Sponsor List. This person is often the Sponsor, but at times the Sponsor prefers someone else to call the games. Callers are assigned by the Bingo Coordinator.

Numbers - Each variety you choose for the Sponsor list are your "Numbers" for that particular game. The fun part is choosing the varieties for your bingo card, because these will be the leaves you will receive if you win. All players will send their bingo cards to the Bingo Coordinator. Each player will send their cards to the Bingo Coordinator before the game begins on the first of the month. Tina is the card holder. Tina does not check the cards for errors. If you find that you have made an error, resubmit your card before the game begins on the first of month. You may change your card at anytime up to 12 am the first day the game begins on the first of the month (i.e. January 1, February 1 etc.)

Watcher - If you will be unable to watch your card for a period of time, you can ask anyone on the list to watch your card for you. Your card will not be watched unless you request your card to be watched. If you have difficulty finding a watcher contact the Bingo Coordinator for assistance.

Winner - The player who completes their VR Bingo card first and therefore bingo's and wins the game.

Tied Game - A game where more than one player bingo's at the same time.
